Hey guys------as I own a 64 vert I usually hang on the c-2 side-------but I have a lead on a 427 car------the seller knows nothing about it---only that it is a 68-69 and it is a 427/4speed-------the price is would u believe under 10k----------anway what should I look for as to number match etc------I can handle the condition part-----are the number locations the same as a C-2-----thanks Apple
VIN number is on the driver's side windshield pillar. You can see it through the windshield glass. The trim tag is on the driver's forward door jamb between the hinges. I think midyear locations (for the trim tag at least) are under the glove box?
All other VIN number locations are the same as far as I know.
If you need help with the color and interior codes let us know.
main thing trying to make sure of is if numbers matching/and correct engine---------it is definitely supposed to be 427---obviouly if it is number matching and can get for 7k ---it might be the find of the year or maybe decade huh?

No matter if it is " numbers matching " or not---if its a true 427 1969 Corvette in running order, it's certainly worth $10k Of course we here have haggled the true meaning of numbers matching--so basicly if you have the correct 427 its well worth the $
