Like I mentioned earlier, I just got my new 71 convertible. The people we bought the car from had just put a new convertible top on the car. It's a really nice top, but when I roll the windows up they don't seem to meet with the top. The weather stipping is a good 1/8 inch above the windows. This causes the expected wistling noice when driving with the windows up, and also as expected creates problems in the rain....not that I let it see rain very often, but when the unexpected storm hits, this is quite a problem. Is there some kind of special weatherstripping I need to buy or some way to adjust the windows, or do I need to just have new windows made to fit with the top? Any advice is appreciated.

I'm sure the window is rolled up all the way, and yes it's on both sides. I don't have any pictures on hand, but I could probably take some and upload them tomorrow.

I have the same problem with mine. I have a sneaking suspicion that the previous owner replaced the glass, and installed glass meant for a coupe instead of vert.
Drive fast in the rain with the top down. The wind profile keeps it out of the car

What condition is the weather stripping? Does it look old and thin? if so you might be able to get new ones and help your problem. You need to get an assembly manual for your year and use it to adjust the windows. There are a lot of past threads on window adjustments. use the search function at the left side just above the word "Cummunity" That may help you do it without the manual. I remember seeing somewhere that a new top has to be adjusted to the windows before the finish material is put on. My "72 has the exact same problem and other than new weather stripping, they can't come up any higher than I have them now. And yes, the previous owner had a new top put on.
