Headlight switch
I was just told by my mechanic that my taillight problem lies with a short in my headlight switch. I need to buy a new one. Corvettes of houston cant get one for 30 days. Do any of you guys know of a place where i can find this part within a month? Thanks, it's for a 1978

The GM number is 1995215 and it is discon. but there are still some out there at some dealers across the country , go to your local dealers and have them get you one , they can get it just will take a **** Case to get it . vette75406

You know. you may go by a parts house and buy a generic switch from any GM of the era....electrically the same, just on my '72 here, the ceramic is rounded off, and so just a grindstone to the generic switch and it fits/work fine.....can even transferr over the vacuum swith with little effort....
