Yes--you will need to decide if you want to maintan the stock 7 or 9 spring leaf or go to the new composite spring. Everything I have heard, these composite springs are a more comfortable ride and with the right shocks help in the cornering. Not a real bad job as far as "Vette jobs" go.

I recently replaced mine and it was very painless, i did have to cut the spring bolts though, i just couldnt find a wrench to fit into that little box and go on top of the bolt to stop it from turning when trying ot take the nut off. I got the gymkhana spring from VBP with kyb gas-adjust shocks, i dont care much for ride quality so i opted for the performance and handling of the gymkhana spring.

The best way to get a wrench on the top of the spring bolt is to jack up the trailing arm a little. This will position the bolt so that a wrench can be put on it. After the wrech is put on, release the jack and use it to jack up the spring to release the force it puts on the nut.
I have the 330lb composite spring, which replaced the gymkhana spring. The ride is much better and not nearly has harsh. Like many others, I had to use longer spring bolts to set the height.
Hey guys, anyone replaced their rear springs? I think mine is in need!
Unless you have broken leaves, you might want to install a set of KYB Gas-adjust shocks. I used them on my 71 with the original spring and couldn't believe the difference. Restored the normal ride height and handled great. Best improvement for the money I've made.
