I recently needed some items to fix the 'Vette - imagine that! No - really!!! I hit the links on the forum site to get "C1-C3 Parts". I knew that this was a link to Zip's pages. It was not too long ago that you got a 5% discount if you bought through the forum. Anyway, I started doing up my order and noticed no discount. I called Zip and inquired. After putting me on hold twice to discuss with their managers they told me "that program is no longer in effect..." In short, they were no longer offering a discount to us. I guess that link serves now as just a way to access their regular order system. Honestly, I got soured on the whole deal, rang off, and placed my order with Corvette Central - who even matched the slightly lower price from Zip on one item. I'll bet that Corvette Central would love to offer us all a nice discount for the chance to have a hot link to their catalog... Maybe even Dr Rebuild - whose business I really enjoy calling up for parts. I just wonder if Zip really wants to try to keep our business. Enough ranting, just my own two cents...
As of right now there is no 5% discount anymore, instead we are doing the discounts on group buys in that section. However everything you buy on our store in the Forum, a percentage of that goes to the Corvette Forum. So in the end we are still supporting all of the Forum members out there by giving money to the Forum. I hope everyone understands this, and if you read the discount structures we still have our other discounts that work better than what the 5% was.

Zip Products
Justin - who has replied on this post below - recently helped me out with a leaking PS Valve that I bought from ZIP 2 years ago! They are going to send me a free rebuild kit for that valve. I installed their valve two years ago but have not driven the car much as I was restoring it. I saw a big puddle of fluid and traced it to the valve. I certainly appreciate this level of customer service!
I ordered from Volunteer Vette and was very pleased with their prices and service. They are also a forum supporter and you get free shipping for online orders over $100.00.
wow, i emailed 6 suppliers of corvette parts, starting on wed last week. well i have heard from just 2. one only priced up my 2nd sheet!(4 items, 1st sheet had 25 items). the 2nd answered in 4 hours! great, except his prices were very high from all the catalog prices i have.
must be they are very busy............
oh well

I have ordered through various parts suppliers at different times--Mid america Ecklers, etc and Zip. I am very pleased with the quality and price of Zip products and they ship out right away. I have even returned items and gotten prompt service
I'm down with Zip. They've done everything I wanted them to do with no hassles. Of course, I have had the same luck with the other forum supporters too, so there. Besides, what do I know?
I bought a fan (thermostatic) clutch for 179$ recieved it and
went back to the webpage and saw it was now 139$. I called and asked to be refunded the difference and they said that I would have to return it and then order another one. this seems awfull stupid to me. Why didn't they just credit me??? Not in my opinion what a first rate company would do.
ZIP is one of the most knowlegable vendors. The guys are top notch. I usually deal with Bobby. Although I have had some difficulties getting parts in what I consider to be a timely fashion. I do understand a lot of people buy their parts there, waiting a over a month for a radiator seems excessive to me. I live near ZIP and it is great to get parts that day, if they are in stock. When not in stock... I use Corvette America and Paragon. Paragon seems to have all the little items in stock ready for shipment. If we don't support our vendors, they may not be able to support this terrific forum.
Vette Brakes and Products is also great. Gary is probably the nicest vendor I have met for my Corvette needs. I met him at Carlisle last year. Talk about knowing your products and brakes.... I purchased every part I need for my car that they sell!
