Clear coat ?
i just painted my car wensday morning but i need 2 reclear the back lid of the car what grit sand paper do i need 2 scruff it up 2 reclear fixing 2 add 2 white stripes 2 it right now its Blue converted it the paint color from white 2 blue inst bad for a garage job ill put some pics when i take it out of the building also how long do i need 2 wait 2 wetsand the back end 2 reclear? thanks[/B]

The two previous post are correct. 600 grit wet/dry is the way to go, in addition use a good body wash solvent before and after to remove airborne contaminates and residue that may land on the surface. When you sand use consistent pressure and sand in a back and forth motion from front to rear. The key is to keep the sand marks in one direction, random sanding will effect the overall DOI (distinctiveness of image) and reduce the reflection of the paint.
