Q-jet secondaries adj.
I have tried using the instructions Lars has on adjusting my secondary wind up spring but still not right. I loosened it then re-tightened about 1/2 turn went for a test drive, bad hesitation before they opened up, went back and loosened to about 1/4 turn still not opening fast enough but finally did. What's next to try?

If it were my car I would loosen it till it dropped open, then gently tighten it 7/8ths of a turn past closed. That is about right in my experience. I think the specs are slightly different depending on the application.

Larry B. sounds right. From Lars' tuning papers, ya need to start out with it 7/8th of a turn tighter from where the tension is first felt. Loosen an 1/4 turn at a time until it starts to bog, then tighten it back up 1/8th.
