Anyone tried to install anyone of the after market billet fuel door covers? Or perhaps someone might have an idea as to how to fabricate one. Thought it might look pretty cool.
I'm still looking for one. There's some on ebay but most are non locking and the dodge ram ones have a dodge logo on the inside. The H2 ones appear to be billet without any logos or anything. Just need the size so it will fit (although I don't mind altering the fiberglass). The ones from motorcycles seem to be too small, at least the ones I've seen.
I think sparco also manuf. a nice unit w/ key.
[edit} Man oh man, I can't type. There were 11 typos in this small post

Do you mean the Le Mans style gas cap like the Cobra & Viper have? If so, I might be able to help.
I think if I had a pre 78 model I would definely want to go that way but I just don't think it would look right on my 79 since the back has more of a slant. I measured the cover and it is about 6 7/8". My Silverado measures about 7 1/8". I'll try and find some others to measure.
