My daughter goes to college at MTSU. Her 96 Saturn over heated from what appears to be a stuck thermostat, no leaks, the radiator is full, and the reservoir tank is empty. Can someone give me a name of an independant repair shop or mechanic I can trust to fix her car. I just don't want her (or me) to get overcharged or ripped off by a major dealership.
I can have the car towed to the repair shop for free (insurance). You can IM me or email the business name at CW5Church@aol.com. I would sincerely appreciate a recommendation. I am going down there Saturday.
Your fear of getting burned happened to me under the exact same circumstances in Tallahassee a few months ago. I was 185 miles away and my kid did the talking with the repair shop.
I don't have any info but I know of a place or two that might be able to help you out. Try www.tennesspeed.net or a couple of the member on www.mtfba.org might know where to send you
One of the few dealerships that I have any trust in is Saturn. I do most of my own work and am a very picky customer. I've never found them to be really cheep, but I have never questioned their work nor felt ripped off. We've been to a few different ones now (none in TN though) and have found them good everywhere.
