This probably won't help you much but I had some weird problems when I installed mine also. What I can tell you is make sure you install the heavy duty flasher that comes with it, make sure all your bulbs are correct and working. The wrong bulb in a socket can cause strange things to happen.

Nastee..do you have the wiring instructions for the bubble lights..if so, could I get a copy from you? I bought some bubbles off a forum member and have everything but a heavy duty flasher..would like to see where it goes in the circuit. My email is dmclain@satx.rr.com. Just want to put these in as painlessly as possible. Thanks in advance for the info..!! Joe!

Got my set from Ecklers... they went in with no prob at all...but... And you knew there would be a 'but' <Grin> I installed the included flasher (or should I say switched out with the one on the fuse box) and now the right side flashes faster than the left???
I know I read an older thread on here where someone went to an auto parts store and bought a heavy duty flasher and it worked where the one that had came with the kit had not.

Also, I think I still have the instructions in the garage if they are needed I could Xerox them and send them off... no charge.

I installed the bubble lights without any problem but with the included heavy duty flasher installed, the lights wouldn't blink at all.

I put the stock flasher back in and they flashed way to fast. So, I went to Autozone and found a variable load electronic flasher. Installed it and everything works perfect.

I'm sure I have them somewhere. I keep instructions to everything. The problem is fiinding them. I'll check today. As far as the flasher, just replace the stock one under the dash on the passenger side with the heavy duty one.

If you mean you found bad fuses, replaced them and the replacement fuses blew then you have a short of your power to ground somewhere.

When you changed your bubble lights you disconnected the positive cable from the battery first so you wouldn't short out anything right?

I believe the fuse box flasher is for the hazards and the passenger side is for turn signals.

Also check your grounds. I had a problem with my headlights and horn. Both ground through the radiator core support. I cleaned and reinstalled all the core support bolts (one at a time) and everything worked. Electricity is a weird thing.

my instructions basiclly just had a pic of the 2 new sockets on the inside and how to match up to the outside lights ....wire colours from instructions didnt match what i had tho ....was very confusing to say the least .....and for a rookie it was even worse.

Yeah Mark my instructions were like that too.. If I remember right they were saying color wires that I did not have or something like that. "What a major PITA!"
And now it sounds like my dumba$% put the flasher on the wrong side of the dash... Figures huh <Grin>
As for the instructions... I will find those bad boys today and make a copy for our friend in Texas. Wish I could email them too but...sigh... I'm on webtv and there is no scanner so snail mail will have to do.
Have to pass on the beer though since I do not drink but a date with one of your Dallas Cowboy cheerleders would cover the deed. <Bigger Grin>

There is a tech tip in the C-3 section that might help. Its not a detailed drawing but it may help. It is a conversion from regular taillights to bubble light so it is not exactly what you are doing. I did this conversion on my vette a couple of years ago and was able to work through it with these instructions.

Well I found the instructions and I have to say... "No wonder I put the flasher on the wrong side, they don't say anything about where to install the flasher."
91 Corvette Guy -=- The instructions are Ecklers Technical Bulletin NO. 186 if you prefer to go through them to avoid giving out your address... if not, then I will gladly copy this poor excuse for instructions (1 page) ad snail mail the puppy to you... just reply back to the email I sent you earlier and let me know. Also... Thanks Neal, I better look that up to see what else I might have done wrong. <grin>

I put mine on the fuse box just behind the brake pedal. That was the only place I knew the flasher would go. You would think Ecklers would have made this clear in their instructions... Hell Mark, don't burn your ride, let's burn Ecklers instead.<Grin>
