Default steering columns

Have a question about my 68 vette.

We bought it about 2 months ago, and we have been problems with the ignition (we had to wire another way to start it, as the key would not fully turn to start the car on after a few weeks when we bought it).

We had that fixed, but there are still some issues with it.

Now my question is, do the steernig colums with the Tilt / Telescope from 69 on fit on this?

I am asking this, as I am unsure what they changed the original Column with, as we have tilt / telescoping capabitilies, and do not know if they bought a new replacement from ecklers (thats where I found a 68 telescopic) or maybe they just bought a used one from another vette.

thanks for any help,

kosta

No the 68 had a one year only, if I recall what Jim Shea said. Check this thread

The 1967 and 1968 steering columns will interchange. Unfortunately, they are unique for those two years only. The 1969 through 1982 C3 steering columns will not fit into the 67 or 68 models.

Sorry

That is quite alright, and thanks for the info! I told my Dad that they most likely just bought a new replacement noe that had T/T but he never wants to listen to me!
