Default bushing question

i removed one of the bushings for the diff mount carrier)one of the two big ones) and before i take the other out, im wondering if i need to take out that steel sleeve that surrounded the bushing, or do i jsut press the new poly bushing into it, because it looks like its gonna be a tight fit.

For a poly bushing you must remove the steel sleeve. To do this it's easiest to use a grinder to grind a groove in it to create a weak spot and then use a punch & hammer to collapse the sleeve inward.

Therés 1 little thing about the poly bushings, theya re 2 pc and one half goes in each side. The stock is a single peice. You will find the hole in the batwing only chamfered on one side. The bushing half on the non chamfered side will be more difficult to put in. I chamgered that side of the batwing to make this easier.
