Tire Size to Tachometer Question
If I am hitting 3200 at 70MPH on a 28" tire, how much will the effect of a 26" (50 series) tire have on my revs?
The alternative would be a 27" or keep my 28" (too tall looking I think)

Based upon the info you provided (3200rpm, 70mph, 3.55 gears) it looks to me like you already have 26" tires (or lower gears than shown in your sig).

Thanks Rodder - that site was perfect...
Actually I have 28" on the rear and 27" in front and my tach needle is broken off so 3200 RPM was a rough guess anyway.
Just needed to see the 50 series will do to me on the highway and it looks like all things being equal, a good rule of thumb is 100 RPM higher for each inch of tire diameter reduction - I think I can live with that
Doesnt that seem about right?
