Which tires?
I need to buy new tires for the vette. I'm also planning on selling the vette sometime in the next few months. Would i be stupid to buy a japanese tire? Yokaham Avid s/t's. Or firestone firehawk indy 500's. Basically what i'm asking is, "If you were going to purchase a fully restored corvette, and it had japanese tires, would you think any less of the vehicle?" since the tires are within a few bucks of each other, save yourself the questions and get the firestones. someone looking at the car will think you cheaped out. they are better tires, too. joe

I have the Firestone SS20's which is the same basic tire as the Indy 500. They handle fine, ride good and are very quiet. There are very few choices out there in our size. Firestone makes a Police vehicle tire (PV41) that is a higher speed rating but you have to ask. They don't advertize them.
