I've started on the front flares, rears are done so far (still need to smooth the snot out of them)
Here's the front ones:
I still need to trim the sides a bit and then make the mold (this is just a plaster shape), also the wheel will come out a good bit because I don't have the rotors on there and the 1/2" spacer is also not there (to clear the calipers).
That's looking awesome
I have to learn how to do some minor fiberglass repairs but I doubt I could ever be good enough to tackle something like that. Great Job!
oh...in the last pic you can see my fiberglass rocker covers, they are lying on the bed of my truck (the red things). I didn't take a close-up of them because they are far from done and don't look quite right. I need to get it to a shape like in my sig pic.

Looks bad azz from all the way here in California. A mold u say? I hope you market those flares over here in the states. It might not make u rich but should make u alot'a friends.
Thats gonna really be a nice vette double T. Now just stop worrying about beautiful custom fiberglass valve covers and get it running. I come accross '82 sharks here in California that can't get registered because of smog restrictions. I really like the looks of the hatchbacks and tempted to buy one but have to focus on getting my '74 running.
Nice work. cardo0
Not valve covers, rocker covers The things for under the doors Sill paltes...whatever those are called. I have fitting valve covers now, modified 84 vette covers painted blue.
When you grafted the flares onto the existing fiberglass did you break thru the gelcoat to bond on the new material or did you lay fiberglass matte over the union of the old and new pieces and then top coat it with fiberglass resin? Reason is Bubba put on mufflers that did not fit the car and dremeled holes into the rear lower fenders to make them fit. The mufflers on there now are correct for the car and I'm left with those gaps. Which to glass in new fiberglass and have the materials ready but not sure if I should break the gelcoat to bond the new and old material, you know better adhesion.
I trimmed down the front flare mold quite a bit. I rigged the wheel with a proper spacer that would mimic the rotor & spacer I need and it turned out that I went a little nuts on the width so trimming and reshaping was needed. It turned out to this. BTW, the red is there because my release agent was red as well as the new batch of resin. Last batch was blue...oh well
Here's the suspension close to full bump on the bumpstops
