Default anyone using 275/50/15 ?

anyone using 275/50/15 on the rear? Do they fill the wheel wells?

I have 275/60/15 and they are just too tall but I like a wide tire look

If anyone can post or email me a pic I would be very grateful!

Thanks
Mike

I use 275/50/15 BFG drag radials for racing. They fill out the well width wise but they look a little small height wise. (26.1" diameter, 11.5" section width) I use 1/4" spacers to keep from rubbing the emergency brake cable at the bracket. I have pics but no host. Email me if you want pics.

I run P295 50's and think they're a bit short.I looked into different sizes and found for the money these are the best deal.Usually get 2-3 years out of a set(35-40K miles)not bad in the rain, and if I pick up a nail or drywall screw I don't get too pissed. They cast $85-90 per tire,as opposed to double or even triple that for some of the tires I've looked into. There's a few pics on my website if you care to take a look.

Default I had handling problems with larger tires on the rear

I'm new here and don't know what people have been doing lately tirewise. However FWIW, years ago, I put larger tires on the rear of my '71. To show you how long ago that was, the fronts were FR60-15, and the rears were GR60-15. After that, the car wandered a bit. It was easy enough to control, but you could tell the handling was not right. Later, I put the equivalent of original tires back on it, and the problem went away immediately. Changing tires can make a bigger difference than you think, although there may be ways to adjust for it.
