It would seem that my clutch cross shaft was overfilled with grease during install after my engine replacement, and grease came out the balljoint side and dripped down onto my brand new Hooker Comp Ceramic Headers . This of course did not smell good and now it sure dosnt look good. Any recommendations or suggestions for cleaning this crud off? I was thinking oven cleaner but wanted to ask first so I dont screw-up the ceramic coating.
Thanks,
Hmm, I'm not sure this is any help, but I've been amazed what driving around for a while will do to clean off gunk from my ceramic coated Dynomax headers . . . I accidently melted one of my plastic spark plug looms a few days ago on a header while I was working on it (wondered what the smell was). Was thinking, on crap, well, I'll just clean that off later. Got it home after work, popped the hood and I couldn't even tell where I had melted the thing at before.
That being said, I'd just dawn and some elbow grease. If that fails, maybe a scotch brite pad. Start with the simple gentle cleaners, then work your way up.
