Purchased a new Pete Jackson gear drive on ebay (no instructions). Can anyone confirm that the large copper washer/spacer goes behind the cam drive gear or does it go behind the crank gear?
Man I hope you like that thing better than I liked mine. I bought the Pete Jackson noisey gear drive and the machine shop owner that built my motor told me I might want to reconsider using it... He was right! that was the worst sounding thing I ever heard.. So bad that I called Jegs asap and bought a Cloyes double roller. Hell, I would have given you my gear drive. Anyways a local Machine shop might be able to answer your Q.

Good luck
the noisy one is just that -- NOISY !!
Even the regular or quiet ones have a bit of a gear whine.
