Default '75 Replacement Headlight options

My son managed to wreck his '75 yesterday, fortunately no one was hurt but he did tear up the front end. Major damage to front bumper and BOTH headlight units. The headlight doors and internal frames are broken with large "chunks" missing from both. He isn't looking to make this a restoration car, just keeping it as his daily driver, it was too far from a true restoration when he got it. What are some options, if any, for functional replacement units? (College age, no money and "bank of Dad" has already overextended his credit line!)

TIA

There are a couple of junkyards around that specialize in corvettes. I can't remember the web address for them but I'm sure somebody can. I bet you could call them and have them shipped to you for a reasonable price.

if you want a real cheap option try bondo and JB weld. And glue it all back together.

Otherwise maybe you could get the pieces off of Ebay. Unfortunately them are some very expensive pieces.

I would look for a front clip. 75 through 82 should work for the most part, but the bumper covers would be different in the later years. Try Gary Gruhala http://www.angelfire.com/mo2/GruhalaEnterprises

Do whatever you can to keep the pop-ups.

I am totally not a big fan of the "lemans" style. You know, the ones that are sunken in and have clear plastic over them to make it aerodynamic.

Sorry, I know I just offended someone, I still your respect to right to modify all you want.

P.S. I'm not a fan of the C6 headlights either.
