Default Meaurement please

Could someone take a measurement from the back of the door(sail panel) to the edge of the rear deck lip on a 70 thru 73, basically I need to make sure I am fabbing in my replacement panel to the correct measurement. The best place I could see to do this was from the top front of the rear quarter panel(behind the door) down the edge of the fender to the back lip of the deck. Thanks for your help. Mark

If I understand your request correctly - I measured my '70 at 53.5 inches. That's running the tape about as close as I could get to the "seam", down the dip and up to the tip of the "tail." Is that what you need? Maybe you can average our measurements...

Words are tough here - that's why I took pics.
My measurement was made a few inches inside the fender edge,
with the tape parallel to the edge.

Using those pics, I had the tape slid down so one edge was on the crease. That would account for the 1 inch difference.

Exactly - now the two measurements together should give a good check.

Now that I think about it, I should have taken one in the exact center - rear window back to edge.

Oh well. IM me if you need more.
