These are EXCELLENT fans. I just quickley seen the price, did not read the detail, but that is a great price.
I'm using SPAL fans. Hardly ever have to put on the 2nd (right side) fan. Have them both on manual switches. They give you an option on how you want them to be hooked up.
I am using two spal fans as well, but I have them both set to come on automatically when the coolant temp reaches a certain temp. I ordered mine from Tom DeWitt, came with all the wireing needed plus very easy to understand instructions.
See this website http://www.idavette.net/hib/bbfh7.htm. I have this setup and with a 76L-81 core support the C4 dual fans fit like they were made there. I also have a Griffin Radiator from DeWitts.
I NEEDED 2 electric fans. I wanted the biggest I could use so I went with 2 16 inch fans, each on it's own switch/relay. Since 2 big fans do not fit I put one behind and one in front.
The front shows the mounting bracket, I do not like putting anything through the rad fins and mounted mine without touching the rad.
We use duel GM fans from 90-96 Corvettes, generally buying the frame at a swap meet and replacing the motors with new ones. We trade the mechanical fan for a serpentine belt system using many parts and brackets from the 1989 Corvette, depending on your engine and its needs.

Here is a pic of the rad and fans I have. As you can see, it has a bracket that does not go through the core of the rad. I have seen too many people with leaks caused by hold-down zip ties rubbing against the core. The electrical part was very easy.
