X-pipe or H-pipe?

I have a Stainless 2&1/2" Exhasut system on my car and I want to put on an X-pipe or H-pipe.
My main reason is to help stop the "mild resonance" I have in my exhaust along with the neverending quest for more power.
Which one is best to install?
Where is the best place to install it?
Anyone know a cheap source for them?
I saw a really old thread that had them for $50. Anyone remember who?
I made my own using header flanges so I could take it apart, I also made my cross pipe the same size but dropping down one size in cross pipe is the norm

the sound is awesome with MAGNAFLOWS
and I could feel a big differance in the car.
Being that MAGNAFLOWS are straight through
design, I have no noise problem, and don't have
to SCREAM to talk to the passenger
the onlytime i can't hear the radio is when im wide open.
I have not heard of any like my car with this setup.
I design my own pipeing myself, and it works great
I would post a pic, if i knew how

I have Magnaflows and an X pipe also. I find that the car isn't too loud when cruising, although my wife would beg to differ. I get a bit of resonance @2200rpm, which unfortunately is what my torque converter lets the engine jump to when accelerating mildly in city traffic. I find that by manually shifting (keeping the car in 2nd longer) I can avoid it, although it doesn't bother me that much. When cruising at even 3000+rpm I can still easily hear the stereo in the car. When I open it up, it's a whole other matter though...

Another unexpected benefit of the Magnaflows and 2 1/2" exhaust over a constricted dual 2" setup is that the car runs cooler

Thanks. You are a wealth of information as usual.
I am thinking of doing it somewhere between the diff and the rear end. Your set up looks close to what I need.
Cheers,
Pete
