Default Questions reguarding monoleaf suspension

For one , how are you supposed to swap your shocks out on the front , by dropping the monoleaf spring ?

ANOTHER THING
It does not explain at all in the directions about whether the outer bolts ( approx 9 inch long ) that connect the spring to the lower control arm are to be installed from the bottom or from the top and do you run the nut all the way down to the end of the threads and then cut the rest of the threaded bolt off or what ?

Thanks in advance .

Hmm, Im not too sure about the front monoleaf system, but for the rear... Some people will install the bolts from the bottom up to gain a little bit of ground clearance since the head is much smaller then a bolt and some extra thread. For the bolt length, you run the nut up maybe an inch or so on the rod, then lower the car. Drive the car around the block then decide if you want the car higher or lower. If you want the car lower, then back the nut out so there are less threads showing on end of the rod. If the car sits too low in front, then screw in the nut more so more bolt end threads are showing. When you are doing this, make sure the end of the monospring is jacked up just enough so there is no pressure on the bolt. Only jack up a monospring on the very edge where the metal end is. Once you set the ride height where you want it, you can cut the extra length of bolt off, there is no need to though if it isnt in the way of anything. As for the shocks up front, it looks like you should be able to replace them without taking the monospring off. Call VBP if you have any questions. Their number is 1-800-237-9991
Edit: meant shocks not springs. Sorry

I hope you're going to visit Micks for a burger and beer, cuz otherwise that sounds like a threat man.

Calm down!

Yeah, I really dont understand the hostility. Everyone on this board has 1 main goal in mind, and that is to help each other out. We help you, and you give us some advice on what you have learned with your setup and past experiences. I agree with big632, seems you are trying to make a nice ride, why not play the game liek everyone else and lose the attitude?
Big632, didnt you have a website for your car, where did it go??
