Default Question reguarding 80-82 vettes

Were there any big block cars built during these years ?
Will need a longer accelerator cable to reach the carb on this 671 blower that I am installing on my 350 engine .

Default I think only two engines avaliable

I think there were only two engines avaiable during these years ,350 cu and I think CA. had a 305 cu because of emissions. No big blocks.

The answer is no.

Hey I saw the picture of your beautiful 81 vette. May I make a suggestion? It looks like you have an aftermarket front bumper that needs some paint. If you don't want to have the expense of painting it the same color as the car just get some black bumper spray paint, tape off the borders on the body paint, and just spray it down. One of the previous owners stripped off my front bumper paint for whatever reason so I sprayed it black and it really looks good in contrast to the red. It will look much better than that raw green/white color. The best thing is that I have a sharp turn getting into my garage with that long front end and more than once I have scratched the front. No problem, I just whip out the black spray can again. A bit "bubba"-like, but it works.

If you are trying to find a longer throttle cable for your blower, a big block one won't do it anyway. You'll have to go custom or rummage thru the shelves at your local auto parts. NAPAonline.com may help you find one that is the right length. Joe

Lmao .... Thanks Spyder but I believe I will do it the right way and just paint it as well as the rest of the car .

And thanks Joe , I kinda figured I would have to fabricate something . I am believing a 1992 Jimmy or Blazer throttle cable will work and they are plenty long enough .
