Hooker sidepipe length-

Those of you who have hooker 4" sidepipes:

What is the length of the side tube from the collector to the end of the pipe?

I got mine on Ebay and there is a "spacer" that makes the side tube length from 36" to 43". It is quite rusty- just wondering if I need it. Sorry to ask, but I can't acurately measure as my headers are not here yet.

I will be media blasting the headers/pipes anyway- just need to know if I have to "save" the extensions when I seperate them. Will be much easier to do if I can just trash them. This weekend when wrenching, I am going to see where the mounts fit the frame rails & such. Maybe the headers will even be here by then!

I dont have a digital camera, but it looks a lot like the ones here:

See the second seam past the header? about 12" long... just like the ones I have... Need to get some pb blaster to get them apart and prepped for paint.

Still no headers...

That's where the pipe is expanded to fit over the collectors not a seam or joint....Hooker side tubes as far as I know are one piece only

well I'm not exactly sure they are Hookers-

I will be messing with them this weekend to see if the mounting brackets will line up with the keyholes in the frame rails. If not, just a little welding! :-)

I got them on Ebay- they have no name/part #'s or anything. They are 4" side tubes... From the looks of them they are like the Hookers I have seen-
The "extension" doesn't look stock- I need to pull them apart to see- maybe someone cut them and fabbed them back together or something?

I'll make them work! ;-) Only $75 and they have baffles in them... Not sure how restrictive or how they sound yet... They are just a touch under 44 inches long it seems. Should be fine- if just a bit shorter than actual Hookers.
