Default Spark plugs for an 81

I want to replace the plugs on my 1981, and I don't know if I should go with something like the Bosch Platinum plugs, or plain ole AC Delco plugs.

Does something like the platinum plug make any kind of a difference???

well, if your expecting to feel a 5-10hp increase, i'd say just get the platinum sticker and go with the delcos.
little known fact: platinums were designed primarily as a non-fouling plug. the performance increase is not all that significant but they stay cleaner for longer. originally designed around the northstar and LT-5 engine (which suck to service) the main benifits are the plugs last longer and stay cleaner. i know what kind of a mother it can be to change the plugs on a stock L-81 and for that reason, i'd recommend a platinum style plug. if yours is somewhat modified, like mine, just go with a regular plug.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Clutchdust: Nope I wasn't expecting a performance increase, I was just curious if there was ANY benefit to Platinum plugs over regular ones. My engine is unmodified at this time, and probably will stay that way for awhile (I'm still thinking about what I want to do with the car).

Oh by the way, nice 81!! White is probably my favorite Vette color. Since my 00 is white I wanted to do something different for a C3, so I went with Silver.
