Default wiper door part needed

The part that connects to the actuator's threaded adjust rod is missing on my '69. This would be a double threaded screw or bolt perhaps? It is on the wiper side of the firewall, hidden from view.

I am not sure what this piece is called and don't know if Zip still carries it? Does anyone that has done a rehab of their wiper doors know what I'm describing?

Any help appreciated.

Mark

Sir:

It's a very long hexagon nut threaded inside, both ends - about 2 inches long. The hex is made for a wrench as any hex nut.

Just think a big long one.

I have that part you described that connects to the actuator. Whats missing is where it connects to inside the windshield cowl area. Is that part made anymore?

I was just researching this part on your company's website. How neat is it that you would reply here!

I have spoken to you before on the phone and I can tell everyone here that you were very helpful and patient to someone new (4 yaers ago) to the joys (?) of owning a 'Vette!

Enjoy your well earned retirement and thanks for the assistance.

Regards, Mark

Whoops Doc, sorry I mentioned Zip!

The part you are looking for is the threaded rod that connects to the wiper door Mech assy. I picked up one a month ago to replace mine. If you done fine one let me know and I will dig through my paperwork and see where I got it.

Dennis,

I think thats the part I need.

No hurry, but if you could research where you bought it from and have a part # handy I would deeply appreciate. I can't find it so far in any of my catalogs.

Thanks,

Mark
