Space your carb for more performance.

This precisely designed Mr. Gasket carb spacer provides a smooth transition of air and fuel from the carburetor to the intake manifold, to increase flow for more performance. Its phenolic resin also helps insulate the carburetor from engine heat and provides clearance for linkages. All attaching hardware and gaskets are included.

Space your carb for more performance.

1/2 in. thick, open plenum, square bore mounting surface, phenolic, carb spacer

This phenolic carb spacer offers many advantages. It'll extend the length of the intake mixture column to improve air/fuel distribution and reduce the fuel temperature inside the carb, resulting in a denser, more powerful fuel charge. It'll also help with linkage clearance when using custom throttle setups. It features a 1/2 in. thickness and an open plenum design. Gaskets and mounting hardware are included.

Sold individually.

The Performer p/n 2101, is not that much shorter than the Torquer 2 - like .03". If a spacer will fit, go with the open style.

Here's Edelbrocks page

Probably you want the divided spacer. Edelbrock has a thin .320" for the Carter carbs like you have #9266 divided (also #9265 open).

I used the #9266 as per Ganey's advice. No problems with heat boil.
