Original license plates

Is anyone on the forum doing license plate restoration? My original So-Cal blue plates are getting pretty faded, no dents or rust but I'd like to get them re-furbed. If anyone here on the forum is doing that type of work I'd like to "keep it in the family". Any input is appreciated.

Try Darryl's plates. They repainted one plate & made me another. My only complaint is how long it took.

What did they charge you for the re-paint and just how long did it take?

I think it was 35.00 to repaint the plate & another 40.00 to make one, but it was a few years back. It took 4 months because of a serious backlog.

Hi, Yep I would send 'em off to Darrly's also, They did the plates (1940 N.Y. Worlds Fair )for my '40 Ford and they came out perfect. This was back in 2000 and I beleive I was charged 65 bux, took three weeks. They still look like brand new today, I am extremely satisfied.
