More questions 78 PC questions...
I know the exterior for the 78 Pace Car was Black over silver, and if I remember correctly, had a thin red stripe running down the length just inside the black at the border. My question is, what color was the interior? I keep thinking red, for some reason, but I know the Silver Anniversary edition had an Oyster interior, and was wondering if the PC had the same. I really want to find a worn out PC or 78 Vette to restore or make into a PC clone, but if it came with the oyster interior, well, mine will be red.

All Pace Cars had silver interior...anniversary cars had a variety of interior colors...Oyster was simple an option. Pace Cars are always for sale over on the For Sale side of the forum here.
PS...actually the silver was over black! Black was painted first and then the silver was sprayed later.

Thanks for the great info!! Yeah, between here, Corvette TraderOnline and www.corvettetrader.com, I've seen a number fo them for sale. Most are way out of reach for me right now with the 04 C5 payment and several other factors in my life financially right now. That's why I ws thinking about finding something that could be rebuilt a little at a time. On top of that, while I REALLY love the 78 PC paint scheme body style with the spoilers, I don't care for the silver interior, and would definitely want to put some good HP under the hood. So I'm not necessarily looking for a PC, because I would probably mess up any collector value anyway.

Yeah, I've actually been looking at the 79's too. I like the look of the back dome window on the 78, so I will probably discount the 75-77, but if I run across a 75-77 at the right price, I may just jump on it.

Actually, we have been married for 10 years, unfortunately now divorcing but still on good terms. She even bought my new slotted and crossdrilled rotors for the new Vette. Once in a while I can sucker her into buying me a present. Gonna try to get her to give up her credit card for Carlisle next week!!!
