Well you can donate in a number of different ways. You can send a check or a gift card, or you can use PayPal to make a donation. Right now the greatest needs are money & gift cards for Publix, Walmart & Home Depot. If you live in the area the Misfits are organizing a moving day for Dan on Saturday. You'd have to PM My 95 for details. Here is a link to the original thread in OT.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=884624

If you need help using PayPal PM me & I will give you instructions on how to set up an account & make a donation.

So far we've raised a little over $3000!

PM sent... But basically, I have a paypal account, just not sure how to make a payment that will actually get to someone (Dan) without an account number or some other very specific instructions. Thanks!

OK, figured it out... I think!
I made a paypal payment to the email address amstspan@earthlink.net
that was posted in OT. At first I called the payment "Quasi cash" but they warned me that my credit card company might treat that as a cash advance, so I changed it to "service", noted "donation for Dan"... hope it works!

As posted by My 95 today in OT...

We got a major reality check today......

We went up to help Dan and Trish Move their salvageable belongings to a storage unit after the hurricaine. I did not bring my camera intentionally but I could have taken the most amazing picture. When we showed up with $2000 in cash, a new generator(both through VERY generous donations) and a dozen misfits with trucks, trailers and ambition, the looks on their faces told a very long story. Let me tell you Dan and Trish are very grateful to you all who have helped and prayed.

We got all of their major belongings moved thanks to lots of work, from a great group of people. A big thank you to all who came out to help. At the end, Trish banged her arm in the storage unit and had to go in for a few stitches.........I'm gonna call later and make sure she is OK.....

Their house is a big mess.......the bedroom is bare trusses with a tarp over them....no drywall, no insulation, no nothing........they are staying in a tent in the backyard.......Lots of major damage, the whole house will need to be gutted.

For those who have asked me, Their biggest need rightnow is monetary. They are reasonable well set with clothes and things and need money more than anything. If anyuone still wants to donate, the info is here

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=884624

One more time, thank you SO much all who came out.....you know who you are......This is forum is a great place, and this again proves that we have a bunch of great people with HUGE hearts....
