Default 1982 Rear End Help

Does Anyone Know How Much Lube. It Takes To Fill The Rear End Of A 1982. The Reason I Want To Know Is My Manual Says To Change The Fluid Drain And Add 4 Oz. Of Positive Trackion Lube And Fill The Rest Of The Way With Reg. Lube.
I Would Like To Pre-mix The Two Lubes So I Can Add As Needed And Keep The Ratio Correct. If The Rear End Holds 1 Qt. I Would Pre-mix 4 Oz. Pos. Track And 28 Oz. Of Regular Lube As A Pre-mix.

Thanks For All Your Help

Why would you need to pre mix? If all is right you dump the 4 OZ of additive and fill till the fill plug, if everything is right you don't need to refill and if the fluid needs freshening open the diff, remove the old and again in n4 oz fresh additive and top off. I really do not see why you would want a pre mixed batch of that stuff.

Your going to want to put the additive in 1st than fill it up.

Yup. You're trying a little too hard. The mixture is not critical. Having at least one bottle in there is what you want.
