Finally found one at Advance Auto. I have had the twist **** type for the past two years, but wanted to give this a try.

Did you not like something about the spin type? I like the compactness of those better...
but then again, my car never parks long enough to put one of these to use, I just keep my 5/16" ratcheting box wrench with me for the rare occassions.

Why not use battery "life-support"? You know, a fuzzy-logic trickle charger to keep the battery at optimum charge... Better even than a disconnect and you can make the terminals hard-wired. This way, you never lose your clock or radio presets or computer settings. I've got two of them from Auto-meter. Like'em a lot.

So, I installed it a few minutes ago. The negative clamp is now sitting up somewhat. but has a rubber cover over it and the door closes.
Not sure if the lid to the compartment is touching the rubbler covered negative clamp. Do you think it is okay?
