OT. Need help on Camera
However, there are TONS of choices. Serious, there are alot of them and its a very hard decision to make.
Here are my thoughts.
Get at least 3Mega Pixel.
- More is not always better, but in this case it usually is. 3 mega pixel can be blown up to like 11 x 14.
Get one that uses AA batteries and NOT a battery pack
- if you run out of batteries and it uses AA's you can get them anywhere, if you have to use a battery pack you have to charge it and they are usually expensive to buy from the company. Plus AA Nimh batteries are recharageable and not very expensive. many uses.
Digital Zoom is worthless always look at optical zoom. Digital zoom just makes it pixelated.
Check user reviews before you buy.

Here is the Camera I got

Its not too expensive. Takes great pictures. Came with 16MB of internal memory (expanded it up to 256MB). It takes movies untill it runs out of memory (like 25min with the 256MB card) Has good zoom. Big LCD display. And easy to use.
Also, dont get a cheap brand. I have a sony and like it very much. I would stay away from the brands that use plastic lenses (HP and Kodak I believe). Sony, Olympus, Nikon and Canon are all good brands.
