True performance is a measure of driver, car, weather, track conditions...ect. This can only be done at a dragstrip. Dyno schmyno...blah blah blah.....

As for your cam choice I can offer my direct expierence with both the 268 and the 262. I have run both these cams in my setup(listed below) with no other changes. The 262 wins hands down for me. It produced smoother idle quality, better vacuum and better 1/4 mile ET and MPH. It just matches my other components better. The 262 is definatly more comfortable at idle in gear. I would always have to bump it to neutral at a stop with the 268. To have maximized the potential benifits of the 268 I would have had to change other things such as bigger carb, better intake, higher stall, stickier tires..ect.

Dynos are great for getting the tune-up 'close', but the REAL THING is on the strip!

Do you wanna walk around, showing-off and bragging about a dyno print-out, or an ET-slip?

ET-slips are ALOT more fun to acquire!!!
