Redoing the weather stripping on the entire car. My 79 under the hood weather stripping is glued to the hood. Yet the pictures in the catalogs show the weather stripping on the flat surface around the engine compartment. Which is correct?? I get water next to the console on the passenger side. It runs down were the console and foot rest area is. Thanks for your help.

Finished my weather stripping this past spring on my 80. Definitely not your hood...on that note, the hood glues to the flat surfact of the hood... I used some electrical tape to hold it in place while it dried.
I had a similiar issue with water... Two possibilities...First (and hopefully not the issue) you may have a rusted windshield pillar. If this is the case, then take off all of your trim on the outside of the window and top...will expose the pillar. Second. I just found that where the front pillar weather stripping meets the t-top weather stripping is very prone to leaks. See if the large end of the pillar stripping is making good contact with the top (ttop weather stripping). May need to use some of your adhesive to make the pillar strip stay in the right place.
Thanks for your input. Trying to run water on the car area by area to see which area produces the leaking. Thought is was the area were the wipers sit, but it wasn't flooded the area and not a drop leaked in.
Next will try the roof area.
