this is odd
here is a new one to me
why would an engine idle faster w/ a large vacume leak?
350 stock lower, edlebrock performer 750 carb
single plane intake, 2800-7000 cam.
i knocked the vacume line to the trans modulator off
(new shift kit install - very cool)
engine idles very fast 1400 rpm w/ vac leak
fixed hose idle back down to 600-700 rpm
i the past bad idle stalling was indication of vac leak
what do you think?

my thought also......running rich, extra air correcting mixture.
i did just set carb w/ vac gauge to get highest vacume at idle
on both screws at approx 15 in/mg
might be too much carb?
