Default Upload your C3 photos

I know that the switch to vBulletin has been a bit of a trial. One of my main reasons for going with it is it's ability to integrate with other products. I have wanted to put up a better gallery for a few years. Now I can do it!

We actually have over 21,000 Corvette & Event photos in the gallery already that we transferred over from the old gallery. All of those images were uploaded by your regional coordinators.

Now I can set it up so that everyone can upload images to the gallery. I have it setup right now to upload pics into most of the sections. I'll be setting up the other sections today and tommorow.

To upload pics:

1. Go to the gallery. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/photopost/ We will be making it easier to find in the future.

2. Login to the gallery. Being logged into the forums does not make you logged into the gallery. The username/password is the same but you must login there also.

3. Click on Corvette Pictures.

4. Click on C3 Pictures to see the current categories. I can add more as needed.

5. Click Upload Photos. It's just under FAQ in the main menu.

6. Choose a category to upload into. You can just upload into the General Upload area if you are not sure of where the picture should go. Or if you think a new category should be created put that in the description.

7. Click browse and find the picture(s) on your computer.

8. Click Upload.

9. Click Process Files on the next screen.

Your picture is now in the queue to be approved.

One quick question Troy,

Are we going to lose the original web-space that was given to us awhile back???

This one:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/pages/index.php

And thanks for all the hard work.

I haven't decided what to do about the home pages yet. The problem is that they are being used to upload huge videos and all kinds of other stuff. I've found huge videos of Vipers up there that were costing me a small fortune in bandwidth. I'm not even sure where they were linked to from.

It's sites like yours that have kept me from cancelling the home pages in the past. You've spent a lot of time making a great site. I wish that everyone used them that way.

Hopefully I can figure out some better solution.

Now I feel bad, I used to have my page set up with some pretty good pictures, then I let it go to hell while deleting pictures.

Now I just use my space for storing pictures to post on the forum. And I try to keep the the overall amount of storage to a minimum.

If it makes a difference as to whether we keep them or not, just having the storage is a big plus for me.

I am with Jug on this one. If we can keep the existing web space that would be great. I too invested a lot of time in my web for everyone here to see. I am not a pro at the web thing... but it did require a lot of time... Unfortunately, my web doesn't work

I could not login to my Corvette Forum home page just now. Could you at least open them up and I will move it to another site?

Sounds great Troy! Things just keep getting better here, thanks to you. Hosting my own images has greatly degraded my bandwidth and with that my outgoing response time so that during multiplayer gaming I tend to suck for the next few days after posting on the forum with an image or two.

I just uploaded two images and got the following message:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" -size 150x91 -quality 70 -geometry 150x91 '/home/sites/forums.corvetteforum.com/web/photopost/data/505/18970Chameleon217x132-thumb.jpg'

I also can not see any of the images...I get a message that: This category does not contain any images.
But, when I look at the previous page listing the category there are hundreds of images. This will be real cool when it's working.
