Make sure it is turning first. If it is, then make sure the rotor isn't broken. Make sure the cap is good. Make sure you have 12v to the cap with ignition on. Try several plug wires to be sure they are not the problem. In my experience, the modules go bad before the coil. If you get this far I would have the module tested, if that's not it replace the coil.

First make sure you have 12v to the hot wire that plugs into the cap with the key in the on position. Also check the engine ground strap. I had this problem with intermitent no spark on my blazer with HEI dist. I would replace the module and it would work for a while then quit again. I could tap on the bottom of the dist with a tire iron and it would start right up. I could remove the cap and unplug the module and plug it back in and it would work again. Maybe there was a bad connection I dont know. Still the problem would arise now and then. I went to replace the pickup coil and found that one of the wires leading to it was only connected by one strand. I tried to replace the pickup but the dist shaft was so gummed up I damaged it while trying to dis-assemble. I finally caled Summit Racing and for about $100 got a reman dist with all new components. Never had a problem after that. Yank that puppy and slap a new one in and be done with it.
