About 1500. Put your foot on the brake and apply throttle and see when it starts to want to pull forward. Call a transmission place and have them match up a converter for what you want. Torque changes converter stall speed. So a converter might stall 2000rpm with 300ft-lbs, but do 3500rpm with 500ft-lbs. Just a random example. Normally the converter is matched to your cam. They'll want a list of things about your setup though.
[QUOTE=1970-Bronze]Have any idea what the B&M is rated at? (Meaning a 3500lb car that makes 400 tq)
QUOTE]
B&M can be orderd with different ranges. The "stated" torque for my XE262 cam is 415lbs and I'm running a 2500 RPM stall. Summit helped on this selection given my engine, cam, weight and tire size. Me thinks the stock converter would have been just fine with my engine setup.
