A problem has dawned on me recently.
The 7 and 8 plug has started to foul up and does not ignite.I have to take èm out and clean them. They are a bit black but not all that bad.
I run NGK BP6FS and was thinking to change to a warmer plug BP5FS to se if that helps the plug to burn of any deposits.
Any ideas to this?
The engine is a sweet little 461 with some modifications.
If you have an automatic transmission you might want to check the modulator and vacuum line for any oil. The location of the vacuum tapping could allow trans fluid into those 2 cylinders more then the others.
What color are your fouled plugs? If they're black then it is an oil problem. However if you're getting redish brown deposits, then could be an ignition problem.
i also think it sounds like a intake leak.. i had problems with plugs #6 & #8 when the gasket between my blower and the intake manifold gave up! it was an extremely small rip in the gasket, but it was enough to make it run like crap.
