Help! Need fan clutch, which to get?

I have a 77 with A/C . Mine leaked & now runs hotter (30deg) at hwy speeds, also warmer at idle. It spins a little more freely I've noticed but still has resistance. Putting the fact that it runs hotter and it had leaked I guess it would be the fan clutch. I don't think the thermostat would cause this but I will change that also just in case. So which fan clutch should I get?

I just bought one from Autozone for $50. Life time warrenty can't be all bad. Several vendes carry them for as much as $200. Guess thats OK if you are going into judged events.

I would certainly encourage you to go with a Chevy fan clutch, and not a discount parts store fan clutch.

Any source that carry gm fanclutchs besides dealerships.

Can try www.gmpartsdirect.com, their prices are cheap and on less expensive parts you still pay less than a dealer even with their s/h charges. I got 2 roller cam melonized dist gears for the about $10 more than the dealer wanted for 1.
