I have a friend that is trying to sell his '79. He is not computer savy at all and asked if I would post it for him and do some research about the price. I am into the '69-73' market a little more that the late 70s so I am not sure what kind of value is car is.
He bought it for his 16 yr old girl (not a good idea), and for obvious reasons was a little scared to let her take it out when she wanted. Anyway she now has a more teenager car (Mazada 6) and the Vette has to go (he has no need for it)
He has had the car professionally redone to good status, but everything is not original. It is a Black '79 (not sure if factory color), not sure if stock block but engine has been completely rebuilt. The interior is tan and everything is new. All new bushings, rearend. the car look and drives new. He was thinking somwhere around $11k but I do not really see that it could have that value. Maybe if it was a fully restored top notch 79'
I am not real sure so if you guys have any input that would be great. I had a 72 a while back and if it was in those years I would be of more help to him.
Some pics would be nice. I would think that $11k would be approaching top dollar for a basically stock 79. It might be worth it if the paint was new and done right. Auto or stick? L48 or L82 or what type tune is the engine? A/C and does it work? Miles on the car? Glass or solid tops? Need a few more details for a better evaluation.
