Default Steeroids Rack & Pinion Group Purchase???

Hello CF members,

Are there any members besides myself interested in buying the Steeroids Rack & Pinion? Chime in if so....I believe it takes 10 buyers to get the discounted price.

Best regards,

Jim

I also plan to install the VBP suspension kit. I hope your installation goes well and I hope some more members join in before you go ahead with your Steeroids purchase without us. Are you planning to use power steering pump? I was considering going manual.

Well Van steel ended the front end sale and wont have the poly bushings intime for this weekend so I can wait a little longer...I have a brake issue I need to work on anyway.

I'm definately going power steering....I installed a smaller and thicker Grant steering wheel and I have some wear in my tilt steering Column...My goal with the car is a fast clean street machine that looks stock but drives like a new modern car. That means i'm keeping my Air, my P/S, my P/B electric windows. If I can get a reliable 400-450 hp to the ground with an overdrive transmission and New auto cross suspension I will be a happy man

I had a buddy in Atlanta that build a crazy fast 88 Mustang...car ran in the 11's with pony tires, was easy a 10'sec car on slicks....but It drove like a Mack truck. Everyone has their goal but I'll give up a sec in the quarter mile to reliably cruze in style and comfort.

I think I'll keep the power steering. I have TT column that's in great shape now and I want to keep it that way. I read some complaints about a lack of "road feel" some members noticed after they installed Steeroids so I wondered if it would help to go manual.

Looks like I missed the boat on the Van Steel sale as well. I don't see much interest so far for this group purchase but maybe after a few days it might kick in.

I have 3 extra poly bushings if you mess one up.

While we just had a group purchase in April you can take advantage of similar savings and not just on Steeroids.

The group purchase was much better.
If im correct, they sold for in the 900 range,
as 10% is still in the thousands. Do a group
purchase again, and im in

quote: "The price for Steeroids will be $985 with a flat shipping and handling fee of $33. The total will be $1018. We'll wait until we have 10 people signed up before we begin taking orders."

This is what Speed Direct had as a price on a thread on 6-20-03. I don't know if this price is still valid or if they'll allow a group purchase while their sale is on.

The price difference assuming the shipping is still $33 would be $55 dollars higher than a group purchase if we buy @ 10% off instead. That's not too bad I guess.

I hate to break up the group but I'm buying at the sale price. There is less than $100 difference and The sale definate...They don't HAVE to accept a group order...And there is no rules saying the spring price has to be honored. I think these guys saw our thread and are putting the sale together to capture our business rather than waiting around for us to gather up a 10, knowing that if we fall short they may have to wait until spring again. I'm jumping on the sale price...installing my parts...and gonna go drive gentleman. Have fun I'll let ya know how the install goes.

Something tells me that anyone trying to do a group purchase is going to have a loooooooong wait!

All I can say is get off your duffs and get on the phone! Steeroids is one purchase I DO NOT regret!

Well I placed the order for both the Steeroids and a Van Steel front end rebuild kit. Good new jimvette999 van Steel honored te sale price for the front end rebuild kit $180 or $185 and no shipping. If you get right on it it might not be too late...I just saw a posting that they have the Blisiein shocks and Rebuild kit on sale so you might be in luck.

Also my total bill for the Steeroids was $1054, i cant imagine the group purchase would be worth the wait. Any way take it easy i'll let ya know how it comes out...but with new shocks, new springs, new sway bars , all new bushings and new rack and pinion steering I might be able to catch the 10yr old in the C6.
