Plastic in oil pan

Ok - this is a continuation from a previous post (I can't find anymore). Pulled the pan off my BB and there were a lot of BB sized pieces in the bottom. Turns out they are not metal but plastic?? From viewing the larger pieces, it looks like some type of plastic "ring" was ground up?? Any ideas.............

The oil pumpdrive shaft sleeve, replace it with a steel one from ARP, it's a much stronger shaft with the sleeve (steel) permanently on the shaft, no way to remove it. The stock stuff sucks IMO

Hi, Do you know if the timing gears/chain have ever been replaced, the cam gear has nylon teeth. Peace,,,,,,Craig

Twin Turbo - you nailed it. twas the sleeve....feel much better that it wasn't metal AND I know what it was........
