Default Need heater fitting & hose sizes...

I meant to look this morning and forgot. Alzheimers, I guess. Now I'm an hour away from the car.

Anyway, I'm trying to order Aeroquip fittings and hose to plumb the heater and I need the hose sizes and fitting types/sizes for the engine. I thought they were both 5/8" hose and 1/2" NPT threads in the engine. Is that right? I'm second guessing the lower one, in the water pump. It might be 1/2" NPT and 3/4" hose.

While we're here, anybody know whether the firewall connections are anything other than barbs? I was planning on pro-clamps there, but...

Anybody know? Thanks!

If Dr. Rebuild is correct (which I'm sure he is), the lower outlet is 1/2" NPT to 3/4" hose
and the upper intake is 1/2" NPT to 5/8" hose.

That's what I'll order then...

Thanks, anyway.

Sir.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm sure about the heater hose sizes, being 5/8 and 3/4 inch for 1959-1982. (The 1953-1958 all used 5/8 inch only.) However the measurement of pipe fitting sizes has always been a mystery to me.
