At the first I didn't like it. But now after watching the pics for a while it starts to look better. Just the same that happened with C5. I hope to see one in person before I'm making my final decision to like or not like. Let's see when they bring first one to Finland...

i dont like the tail..too high and short....Like the fixed headlights...hate that tey are painted body color under there. love the rest. That car with a early 70's tunnel back and traditional crome under that headlight covers woud look great.

I like it. If you saw a C5 & C6 side by side, you'd see a big difference in the cars. My only complaint, and this might be nit-picky, is that the name "corvette" belongs in the middle of the rear end instead of the lower right hand side.

I don't like it. It looks like a Mazda RX7 to me. Maybe it will be different in person.

I hate the lights, as someone said it looks like a smiley face, too much RX-7/honda S2000 Also I don't like the long rear glass and the sudden chopped off rear, I hope the FRC will look better there. I also absolutely HATE the steering wheel, whoever designed that thing should be shot, it's awfull.

Kind foolish that they tried to make it more european, the car was destined to get slaughtered on top gear because they thrash everything american (except the new ford gt because Jeremy Clarkston wanted one and had to suck his way onto the list of the lucky few who can get one here)
If they want to sell it here they should have stuck to real american styling, raw power and just the american feel. They will never succeed in getting people that buy porsches here to buy a vette, even if it looks european. The people tht buy those cars here have a passion for american cars and don't care for european looks, we have too many of those around as it is.

Mike I was a little too abrupt in my post. The C5/6 cover all variables, fast, agile, cornering every creature comfort known to man and easy to drive as any other car, something I cannot say about my 68. This hit me hard last week when I meet up with the Arizina pack of Corvette owners here in San Diego, theuy quoted having cruise control at 115mph for 4 plus hours. not only could my car not do that but I would have heat stroke from the headers, numbness from the vibration and a melted down rear end to boot. Don't get me wrong I love my 68 for all her faults but these new C6's are in a completely different league, they do everything well while the 698 is just a toy.

I'm with most of you on the styling issues. The chop job in the back end is too much. Also the rear is just to fat.Thats the reason I never liked cars with ground effects, makes the car look way to fat.The front has a viper look to it.I don't know, I never got used to the C4 either. Not sure what year it was but when they changed the read end with the rounded off tailight panel they looked a lot better.I've got a couple of friends who have c5's and they look a lot better than the C4.What can I say,I'm old school.Just for the record I feel GM stopped building Camaros after 1973.

I have a black one on order that should be here in the next few weeks.

I had a new '98 for about 6 months but could not get used to the big rear-end. To me, the C6 is a much sharper design and I think it looks good from every angle. It will become my daily driver.

I do not like the C6. I'm not all that much of a C5 fan either, but the C5s look better now that the C6s are out. I do not like the rear quarters on either of these cars. The tails of the C5s look huge (and are) while the C6s appear to be stubby. All of this is a moot point. GM sold every C5 they made and they'll sell every C6.

When I sat in the coupe at the cruise in, I had 2 beefs.. not big on the touch button door handles due to durability issues and the head clearance. With the seat adjusted perfectly to where everything was absolutely where it needed to be, I hit the button on my hat right squarely on the top bar. other than that, I loved it. I asked Dave Hill about the lights and he said they aren't pop ups because of the size of the element.. guess they are freaking huge! When sitting in the car, the front fender lines looked a lot like a C3...
