Transmission Question
The shift will require minor modification. Or you can leave it like mine -- bubba-style but it works.
It is one of the best upgrades you can do to your car. It is NOT going to pay for itself in fuel savings (at least not for a long time), but it makes the car SO MUCH more pleasant to drive on the freeway. Especially down here where we have looooong stretches of 70 mph speed limits (you can imagine how fast everyone goes).
I've never regretted upgrading to this tranny. Not for one minute!
I've rebuilt the engine and added performance parts, so it has 300 or more HP now. So I'll probably need a stronger transmission.
Did you have to modify your exhaust for the new crossmember, I have headers and dual exhaust.
I was just quoted $2200-$2400 for a turn key job from http://www.phoenixtrans.com/ in Texas. That included a new custom built torque converter and the the whole enchilada.

thanks, I'll get the Bowtie Overdrive 200 4r, I'm running just over 300 hp, so in your opinion, is the level 1 good enough, they say it handles up to 350.
Also, which torque converter do you recommend? I have a comp cam 268 duration, edelbrock performer, straight dual exhaust with headers, msd ignition etc.
