are all 76 vettes posi? I see they offered an optional ratio that year, what was it and was it available on auto or manual?

if you look on the bottom of your differential there should be a code stamped in the casting, just in front of the differential cover. If you give me those numbers I can tell you the date of manufacture, and what kind of gears are in it, granted nobody has changed the gearing.
