Keisler trans, what oil?

I am running Dexron III in my trans right now. My brother in law just got his and was going to run this. He called Keiselr and they said to definitly run the GM fluid. It has more viscosity and will shift better than the Dexron fluid. Anyone else have any info on this?

GM Synchromesh, GM part number 12345349 (3 quarts). Optional fluids are Dexron II E and Mercon Synthetic.

The GM synchromesh is priced like Gold. But that is what I put in mine because that is what they recommended. How often does it have to be changed anyway? It should last for a long time.
